Joan M Gallagher is a National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) award recipient, and a Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics speaker.

Having survived a chaotic upbringing, Joan ultimately found a way to educate herself and secure a job in the drug industry. Joan spent over two decades working in Sales and Marketing for notable companies such as Merck, Glaxo, and Amgen before taking a role with a less known start-up, InterMune, in 2001. Less than two years later her tenure was cut short when she was fired for refusing to go along with a fraudulent scheme to sell a drug that didn’t work and even killed patients. Joan went on to spend years seeking justice for herself and all who were harmed.

Joan's writing interests continue to be about health and wellness. She is a long-time yoga practitioner and certified teacher. Her passions are traveling, reading, and cooking.
